Meet RESPECT Actor Educator: Sara Renee

What is your favorite RESPECT educational play?

It’s hard to pick any one over the others! Because each play we provide serves different audiences and discusses diverse issues, each one is wonderful in its own way. That being said, I think Puppy Pals is one of our most fun and helpful!

What is the best part of your job?

There is a lot of fun to be had! There is a lot of passion behind the organization too, that’s always a good time.

What is the best part of your interactions at RESPECT programs?

Watching people feel seen or identifying with the messages of the shows is really gratifying. While most of our audience is meant to be students, watching staff members also be moved by the performances is a wonderful reminder that the lessons we offer are for all ages.

What is something that you’ve learned by being part of RESPECT?

It’s been wonderful learning how much of the Omaha community is supported by RESPECT and organizations like it. There’s a diverse need here in the Heartland, and it’s been wonderful learning how much heart there truly is.
