New Cast Members Join RESPECT for the 2019-2020 School Year

RESPECT is pleased to announce the hiring of five new actor-educators to join our cast for the 2019-2020 school year.

One of those new individuals is Omaha-born, Donovaughn Daniels. In addition to his work with RESPECT, he is working with children at the Omaha Children’s Museum during programs and as part of the OCM’s summer camps. He is also currently acting in and around Omaha for the Dinner Detective. His dream is to someday reach Broadway as a performer.

Manny Onate also joins our team.  Manny recently graduated from Creighton with a BFA in Musical Theatre. Passionate about about giving back and helping our community as well as using theatre as a means for seeking and promoting justice in our society, he is excited to be part of RESPECT.

Paige Cotignola comes to RESPECT with a diverse performing background both as an actor as well as a bassist.  In October 2018, She joined the cast of The Dinner Detective, a murder mystery show in Omaha and Lincoln. Paige spent June 2019 at the New York Conservatory of Dramatic Arts in their Film/TV Acting Intensive studying under professionals in the industry.

A recent graduate of of the Johnny Carson School of Theatre and Film at the University of Nebraska Lincoln, Aguel Lual is excited to join RESPECT.  In addition to many stage credits, Aguel loves sharing theatre with younger audiences and has worked as a Teaching Artist with Flatwater Shakespeare’s Little But Fierce program.

Finally, performing with RESPECT in a limited capacity is Daisy Friedman, a junior at Central High School.  She is the Historian of Central’s Drama Department and has been involved in many theatrical productions in Omaha.  When she is not performing, Daisy enjoys writing plays and poetry.

Right now, the new actor-educators have been busy learning their roles and taking part in RESPECT professional development workshops so they are equipped to perform in front of the thousands of students we will reach this year.  Look out for these five outstanding performers in our upcoming programs!
