Meet RESPECT Board Member: Robin Spindler
Why is RESPECT important to you?
RESPECT is important because of the possibility and opportunity it provides our youth to not only improve their lives, but also those we interact with.
How did you get involved with RESPECT?
I got involved with RESPECT because my sister is Dr. Newman. I knew with her expertise, understanding and passion to improve the lives of our youth, that RESPECT would and does make a difference.
What would it have been like to have RESPECT when you were a kid in school?
I still recall a teacher talking to my class about a student who wasn’t included in activities with the other children, myself included. She likely had been bullied by others. If RESPECT had been at our elementary school, perhaps I would have stepped up and included her.
What do you like about being on the board of RESPECT?
I enjoy being on a board with such committed and caring community members with a shared passion to improve lives.
