Meet RESPECT Associate Executive Director: Paige Brenneman
What is your favorite RESPECT educational play?
My favorite RESPECT play is ‘Scraps’. This play is geared towards Middle School students and provides them with the skills to identify behaviors that lead to conflict, respect others with different qualities and characteristics, and manage big emotions. I love how this play takes real life scenarios and puts them into a performance that students can relate to and grow from. Students are always thrilled to participate in the talk-back role play scenarios, giving them the opportunity to practice problem solving and healthy interactions with others.
What is the best part of your job?
Throughout my eight years at RESPECT, I’ve experienced so many wonderful moments! The best part about my job would have to be the individuals I get to interact with on a daily basis. I’ve learned so much from my co-workers, RESPECT board members and volunteers, and the individuals we serve in the community. Each interaction has helped me grow, encouraged me to utilize my strengths, and given me the motivation to continue to help make a positive impact!
What is something that you’ve learned by being part of RESPECT?
Something that I’ve learned by being part of RESPECT is that it’s okay to ask for help. Find those around you that you trust and lean on them. Facing challenges can be scary, but those around you care and can support you in more ways than you know!
