Ilana is a native of the East Coast and graduated from Yeshiva University, earning a Bachelor of Arts. Upon graduation, the university awarded her a Presidential Graduate Fellowship, during which she participated in graduate courses related to nonprofit management and worked in the university’s Office of Undergraduate Admissions in the areas of public relations, event planning, and systems management. Ilana subsequently got married and hopped around the world, landing in places like Jerusalem, where she worked in the Fundraising Department of the Association of Rape Crisis Centers in Israel, as well as Halifax, Nova Scotia, where she served as a Jewish educator and program coordinator. Now living in Omaha, Ilana has been loving every minute of her work with RESPECT since she joined the organization in 2010. She is responsible for a number of special projects, including the Student Advisory Committee.
